Movie Review: One for the Money
A movie! A movie! A movie!! Five of us got up early this morning, left the kids with the daddies, and went to see One for the Money! A fun time was had by all :)

Overall it was a really fun movie. I thought it was a little stilted at the beginning when they were trying to provide the framework for the characters, but once they got into the flow, I really enjoyed it. Katherine Heigl made a great Stephanie Plum. Actually all the casting was really good, except they really didn't utilize John Leguizamo to his fullest. The way they rewrote the ending for the movie really cheated him out of what could be a great scene.

They really scaled back the more suspenseful aspects of the book. Her first encounter with Benito Ramirez was very tense but after that they dropped the urgency level. I think they were mostly concentrating on the Stephanie/Joe chemistry and the laughs, which were all very good.

Oh and Lula's costuming was perfect. I think her first outfit got one of the biggest laughs from the audience.
